MARION – A DeSoto man has been arrested following a lengthy investigation into his role in the distribution of Fentanyl in Marion.

Marion Police Chief David Fitts says 29-year-old Roger Compton Jr. was arrested Monday and cited for Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl) within 500 feet of a Protected Place (Ray Fosse Park) and Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl). He was taken to the Williamson County Jail.

Chief Fitts says a traffic stop was conducted that resulted in the recovery of Official Advanced Funds, drug records, and a large amount of cash.

Compton Jr. was then cited for the offenses we mentioned and taken to jail.
