The deputy told the woman he was looking for 53-year-old Karen S. Ward Sexton. The woman said Sexton was not there. The deputy then told dispatch he would be on his way to an address on Elliott Street in Crossville.

The deputy walked to the next house and knocked on the door. Nobody answered.

The unidentified man told the deputy he would walk to the back of the house and see if they were home. The deputy and the other officer walked to the front of the home. The deputy knocked on the front door a second time. A woman answered the door. The deputy knew it was Karen Sexton and knew she had an active White County warrant. The deputy told Sexton he had an active warrant for her arrest and would have to take her into custody.

Dispatch was asked to run Karen Sexton through LEADS to see if she had any active warrants. She had an active White County Failure to Appear warrant for forgery. The deputy said he had Sexton in custody, provided her with a copy of the warrant, and took her to the White County Jail. Sexton was booked on the warrant for the offense of Forgery/Make/Alter Document. No bail was set.
