


CARBONDALE – Three men are facing gun-related charged after Carbondale Police stopped a vehicle in the 500 block of East Main Street for a registration violation around 5:10 Saturday evening.
Carbondale Police say during the course of the investigation, all three occupants in the vehicle were found to be illegally in possession of firearms. One of the firearms was also determined to be stolen.
Officers arrested 32-year-old Johnie D. Harrington of Cambria for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Improper Display of Registration, 28-year-old Dontae J. Smith of Carbondale for Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Possession of a Stolen Firearm and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon and 25-year-old Dayshawn M. Holmes of Carbondale for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon by Felon and Resisting or Obstructing a Peace Officer after he attempted to flee the traffic stop on foot.
Harrington, Smith and Holmes were lodged in the Jackson County Jail.
Carbondale Police say the investigation is active and ongoing.
