MARION – The Marion Police Department says bicycle theft and lost/mislaid bicycles have become an issue in Marion. So they are now offering the Marion Police Department Bicycle Registration Program.

On select dates this year, Marion residents are welcomed and encouraged to bring their bicycles to the police department and participate in this program.

Marion Police hope this program will aid in curtailing the thefts and assist officers with returning recovered bikes to the rightful owners.

This program will kick off Monday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Marion Police Department on West DeYoung Street.

Police will have registration forms for you to fill out and numbered Marion Police Department stickers to affix to bicycles.
