Franklin County Sheriff Kyle Bacon says a 911 call came in from the resident around 11:13 p.m. saying she had arrived home and found it broken into. Several pieces of personal property were found in bags beside the road near her home. Prior to calling 911, she saw a woman leave her home and flee on foot.

Deputies responded and found a woman matching the provided description walking in the area. She was identified as 41-year-old Alexis N. Melville of Stonefort.

As a result of the investigation, Melville was placed under arrest and charged with Residential Burglary and Theft.

Melville was also wanted in Williamson County for Failure to Appear for Criminal Trespass to Land. She was taken to the Franklin County Jail.

Online court records show Melville’s preliminary hearing is set for June 25 in Franklin County Court.
