MARION – As you know by now, the City of Marion is currently in the process of moving City Hall from its current location on Tower Square to the new City Hall, located in the former First Southern Bank building on Tower Square.
City officials say several offices will be without internet and phones until Monday.
Water bills can still be paid in person at 1102 Tower Square Plaza until 4:30 Thursday afternoon.
The City is urging customers to delay any in-person or night drop payments until after the new City Hall opens. A drive-thru dropbox has been installed in the third lane of the drive-thru on the north side of the building and is actively accepting drop-offs. If your water bill is paid automatically each month, there is no service interruption. Online bill pay will be unavailable Friday.
The City has elected to waive all September water bill penalties to give water customers more time to make their payment during this transition
All of City Hall will be closed Friday. Doors will open at 8 a.m. Monday at the new City Hall, located at 350 Tower Square Plaza, in Marion.
