MARION – A traffic stop early Sunday morning in Williamson County led to a man being arrested and cited for Driving Under the Influence and Possession of Adult Use Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says around 1:20 a.m., deputies saw a vehicle commit multiple traffic offenses while traveling westbound on Illinois 13 in Marion.

A traffic stop was conducted and upon approaching the driver, identified as Tristin L. Bradford, deputies suspected he was under the influence of a drug or intoxicating compound.

Deputies asked the driver to get out of the vehicle and he initially refused. After several minutes, the driver complied and got out of the vehicle.

Bradford was administered three standardized field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

The vehicle was inventoried incident to tow and cannabis was located in the passenger area of the vehicle.

Bradford was transported to Heartland Regional Medical Center where he provided a blood and urine sample.

He was issued citations for Driving Under the Influence and Possession of Adult Use Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle.

Bradford was transported to and remanded into the custody of the Williamson County Jail.
