
SESSER – Former Franklin County Board Chairman Randall Crocker has passed away.
According to the Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home in Sesser, Crocker passed away peacefully at home by his wife’s side Sunday after a difficult, but swift battle with cancer. He was 70.
Crocker served on the Franklin County Board for 22 years, with many of those serving as Board Chairman. Crocker was also instrumental in initiating the planning and development of the new Franklin County Courthouse. He also served on various boards, ran a successful construction business and owned and managed Crocker Insurance Agency for over three decades until his retirement in 2020. He was also involved with the Sesser Homecoming Association and involved in the success of the yearly Rend Lake Days events.
Visitation for Randall Crocker will be held Wednesday, July 19 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Valier First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at Valier First Baptist Church on Thursday, July 20 at 11 a.m.
