HERRIN – There will be an unveiling of a fire truck donation to the Marion Fire Department Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Bank of Herrin on South Park Avenue in Herrin.

According to a post on the City of Marion’s Facebook page, the bank says a new 100 foot aerial ladder truck was purchased for the Marion Fire Department by the Julia Harrison Bruce Foundation and the Fred G. Harrison Foundation.

Along with the purchase of this new fire truck, the Williamson County Fire Protection District and the Carterville Fire Department will receive donations of fire trucks that the Marion Fire Department is updating back into service.
