WEST FRANKFORT – Bill Arthur Krah, 92, of West Frankfort, Illinois passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023 in VA Medical Center – Marion, Illinois at 6:15 a.m.

Bill was born March 28, 1930 in West Frankfort to Henry and Genevieve (Toney) Krah. He was a sergeant in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of the VFW, American Legion, WF Elks, and WF Moose Club. Bill loved to fish, play poker, and ride his scooter. He cooked for 22 years during the Redbird Scramble.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; parents, sister, Dorothy Nestler.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Susan (Richard) Glodich; brother, Randy (Nancy) Krah; grandchildren: Erin, Andrea, and Austin Glodich; sisters and brother-in-law, Carol and Duane Farley, Mary Ellen Smith; brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Marcia Raubach.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2023 in Union Funeral Home – West Frankfort, Illinois with Rev. Dr. Eusebius Mbidoaka officiating. Burial will be in Tower Heights Cemetery – West Frankfort, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post 161 of Orient and Zeigler Post 177.

Memorials may be made to the Redbird Athletic Department or to St. Johns School.
