Carbondale Police: ‘Committed’ to Investigation of Keeshanna Jackson’s Death

CARBONDALE – With one year passing since the death of Keeshanna Jackson, the City of Carbondale Police Department announced that they remain committed to the investigation and bringing the offenders to justice.  

The investigation remains active, and investigators continue to make progress, police said. A $15,000 (FBI $10,000 and City of Carbondale $5,000) reward is available for anyone who has information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the offenders involved in the murder of Jackson, who died Aug. 22, 2021.

The Illinois State Police, the SIU Police Department, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department and the Jackson County State’s Attorney’s Office continue to assist in the investigation.
