No Timetable Set for Special Legislative Session on Abortion, Gun Violence

(IOCI RADIO) – There is still no timetable for a proposed special legislative session on gun violence and abortion.

After Roe v. Wade was overturned, Gov. J.B. Pritzker talked about calling a special session to further protect reproductive rights. There have also been discussions about passing a ban on assault weapons.

No date has been set, but the governor said it’s about timing.

Pritzker said working groups have been tackling the issues in hopes of producing viable legislation.
