(IOCI RADIO) – Gov. J.B. touted new investments in early childhood programs Monday.
First, the governor said a program that was due to end to end this month will be extended through the end of the year, providing three months of daycare assistance to unemployed parents trying to get back to work.
Pritzker said providers participating in the state’s child care assistance program will receive a higher rate of reimbursement.
In addition, more parents will qualify for the assistance program as income limits are raised and the state is eliminating copays for families experiencing homelessness.
