Pritzker Touts INcrease in Higher Education Funding at College Stops

(IOCI RADIO) – Gov. J.B. Pritzker has been visiting colleges in Illinois, touting his proposed increase in higher education funding.

The additional $208 million the governor wants to see allocated to colleges and universities in the next fiscal year would cover more Monetary Award Program (MAP) Grants and higher award amounts.

Pritzker said he also wants to put $230 million towards the state’s College Illinois program to pay for existing contracts.
