CHICAGO (AP) – Coronavirus numbers have been on the decline in Illinois, but many who have recovered may be dealing with symptoms for months.
New data analysis has compiled information from so-called “long haulers” and ranks the most common symptoms. Dr. Brittany Busse of WorkCare said COVID-19 affects the body in a way that could lead to other complications.
The most common lingering COVID-19 effects are fatigue, headaches, attention disorder, hair loss, shortness of breath and the loss of taste and smell.
Other symptoms experienced by long haulers include sleep apnea, red eyes, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and paranoia.
