SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Tuesday announced 1,466 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Illinois, including 20 additional confirmed deaths.
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 264,210 cases, including 8,332 deaths, in 102 counties in Illinois.
Local case breakdown:
- Williamson County: 19
- Randolph County: 18
- Franklin County: seven
- Saline County: six cases (five in isolation, one case status in progress)
- Jackson County: five
- Jefferson County: four
- Perry and Massac counties: two each
- Alexander, Hardin, Pulaski and White counties: one each
- All cases (unless noted above) are in isolation.
The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases as a percent of total tests from Sept. 8-14 is 3.6 percent.
