Area Seniors Pursuing Healthcare Educations Awarded Scholarships

ELDORADO – Ferrell Hospital announced scholarships Thursday awarded to high school seniors pursuing college educations in healthcare from several southern Illinois schools from the Ferrell Hospital Foundation.

The following were awarded scholarships:

  • Kynzie Sizemore of Eldorado High School planning to attend Southeastern Illinois College to pursue nursing.
  • Molly Williams of Eldorado High School planning to attend Southeastern Illinois College to pursue nursing.
  • Jack Martin of Harrisburg High School planning to attend Southern Illinois University; beginning education to become orthopedic surgeon.
  • Grace Lueke of Hamilton County High School planning to attend Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville to study physical therapy.
  • Will Henson of Gallatin County High School planning to attend Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville, beginning education to become a physician.
  • Sydney Lucas of Carmi-White County High School, planning to attend Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville to pursue nursing.

The scholarships are awarded yearly by the foundation.
