Pritzker: State COVID-19 Cases ‘Not Moving in the Right Direction’

CHICAGO – After the Illinois Department of Public Health reported Monday a sixth straight day of over 1,000 COVID-19 cases statewide with 18 additional deaths, Gov. J.B. Pritzker said “things are not moving in the right direction.”

Pritzker said during his briefing there’s “growing concern” in some areas of the state and called on local officials to address the rise of cases.

Additionally, the governor advised state residents to continue wearing masks to reduce transmission of the novel coronavirus.
