Marion Man Receives Six Years for Domestic Battery

MARION – A Marion man pled guilty to domestic battery (a Class 4 felony) Wednesday in Williamson County and was sentenced to six years in state prison.

According to Williamson County State’s Attorney Brandon Zanotti, on April 5 30-year-old Daniel R. Guffey was arrested by Marion Police after physically abusing a female household member, causing her injury. Guffey has prior domestic violence convictions out of White County.

He’ll serve four years of mandatory supervised release following his release from state prison.
