Hearings Set for Three Charged with Concealing Eldorado Man’s Death

SALINE CO. – Preliminary hearings are set this week for three people accused of concealing the death of an Eldorado man reported missing in May.

42-year-old Troy D. Gwaltney, 30-year-old Richard H. Emerson and 22-year-old Toria L. Emerson, all of Eldorado, each face one count of concealing a homicidal death (a Class 3 Felony) related to 32-year-old Chase Mitchell of Eldorado. If convicted, each will face between two to five years in prison.

Toria Emerson’s hearing is scheduled for Tuesday at 9 a.m. in Saline County Court. Richard Emerson and Troy Gwaltney’s hearings are set for 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Saline County Court.

The body of Mitchell was found in Gallatin County on June 9th. The three were arrested in connection with the homicide less than three days later.
