Harrisburg City Council to Consider Creation of New Business District

HARRISBURG – The Harrisburg City Council will consider multiple actions Thursday involving the creation of a new business district in the city.

Among those actions include a presentation from Keith Moran on Blight Analysis and the plan for development of the business district, along with an ordinance to advertise a public hearing for the business district July 16.

Also Thursday, the council will discuss and possibly take action on authorizing an inspection for the reservoir dam and changes to the 2014 Phase 1 Watermain Rehab order, plus the DCEO sidewalk improvement project order. Council members will also look to authorize seeking bids for a backhoe and a skid steer for the water and sewer department.

The council will meet Thursday at 6 p.m. at Harrisburg City Hall.
