JEFFERSON CO. – Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Bullard reported the Marion County Coroner is currently undecided on an autopsy. Evidence points to a self-inflicted gunshot wound as the cause of death.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Detectives along with the Marion County Coroner are investigating the death involving a gunshot wound of a 26-year-old Dix woman.

Mishia L. Perez of Northwind Rd. was transported by ambulance to a Centralia hospital around 7:51pm Wednesday evening.

An autopsy has been requested in the case and no further details are available. An investigation is ongoing.
