SOUTHERN ILLINOIS – Various cases of COVID-19 were reported by various southern Illinois health departments Sunday. Here are the latest numbers:
The Jackson County Health Department reported 12 positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the total of laboratory confirmed cases in the county to 147, with 45 of the positive individuals being released from isolation in accordance with CDC guidelines. Fifteen new positive cases were reported in Jackson County Saturday.
The Egyptian Health Department Sunday reported the fifth confirmed positive case of COVID-19 in Saline County.
The Franklin-Williamson Bi-County Health Department reported one new positive COVID-19 case within Franklin and Williamson County Saturday bringing the total to 33 in Williamson County and nine in Franklin County. Of these positive cases, 13 have recovered in Williamson County and 5 have recovered in Franklin County.
The Southern Seven Health Department Friday reported six new cases of COVID-19 – four in Union County and two in Pulaski County. Currently, Southern Seven has reported at total of 51 cases and no deaths.
