Marion City Council to Support Community Block Grant Applications

MARION – The Marion City Council is set to adopt resolutions supporting the applications of several Community Development Block Grants during a special 3:15 p.m. meeting Friday at City Hall.

Businesses seeking the grants include Martini Joe’s, Hill Printing, Kokopelli Golf Club, Poe’s Future Swings, Keyser Auto Sales, American Monument Company, The Appliance Wizard and Donelson Concrete.

The council will also discuss and possibly approve an ordinance authorizing a TIF agreement with the HUB TIF with Aaron R. Smith for renovation of property located at 1200 Tower Square Plaza and a bid for worker’s compensation insurance for the new fiscal year beginning May 1.
