Carbondale Police Searching for Suspect in Saturday Shooting on E. Park St.

CARBONDALE – Carbondale Police are investigating an early Saturday morning shooting which left one injured in the 100 block of E. Park St.

According to a release, officers responded to the scene at 3:40 a.m. in reference to shots fired and a reported gunshot victim. During the course of the investigation, officers learned about a dispute amongst acquaintances outside of a party. During the dispute, the victim suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound and was taken to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale for treatment and then released.

The suspect is described as a light complexion black male in his early 20s, standing 5’8” tall, weighing 150 pounds, and with shoulder length dreadlock hair. He has a tattoo of a cross below his right eye. The suspect may be in a white SUV, possibly a Chevy Suburban.
