CAPE GIRARDEAU CO. – Another arrest was made in connection with the deadly shooting of 21-year-old Keon Cooper earlier this month, according to Carbondale police.
30-year-old Thomas Durell Evans Jr. was arrested by Cape Girardeau County, MO Sheriff’s deputies Tuesday on a Jackson County, Illinois warrant for charges of concealing/aiding a fugitive related to Cooper’s death.
Evans is currently lodged in the Cape Girardeau County Jail awaiting extradition to Illinois.
Sikeston, MO police arrested 21-year-old Tyren Johnson in this case last week. He was wanted on Jackson County, Illinois warrant for murder charges related to Cooper’s death. He was taken to the Scott County, MO Jail to await extradition to Illinois.
Police are still searching for 24-year-old Olando Sheron of Sikeston, Missouri. An arrest warrant was issued for him on murder charges.
