WILLIAMSON CO. – A Johnston City man was sentenced in Williamson County to the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) for burglary and retail theft.
Williamson Co. State’s Attorney Brandon Zanotti said 33-year-old Douglas K. Hearn received 8 years in IDOC for burglary – a Class 3 felony – and 6 years for retail theft – a Class 4 felony, each sentence running concurrently. Hearn will serve one year of mandatory supervised release following his release.
The burglary happened at a home in Johnston City June 2018. The retail theft occurred at the Mach 1 gas station in Herrin September 2017.
Zanotti added Hearn has a criminal history, including convictions for theft, criminal trespass and domestic battery.
