HARRISBURG – The city of Harrisburg will hold a town hall meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at city hall to discuss adult use of recreational marijuana.
Earlier this year, Illinois approved a plan to legalize the recreational use of marijuana for those 21 or older. While adult use of marijuana will be legal across the state, local governments can determine if the sale of marijuana will be allowed in their jurisdiction. Harrisburg currently has a medical marijuana provider within city limits.
The city council has allowed citizen’s comments at previous regular meetings.
