Cage the Elephant Makes History with Ninth Number One Alt Song

Cage the Elephant made history on the latest Billboard Alternative Rock charts, with “Social Cues” reaching number one this week, giving the band the most number one alternative singles on the chart this decade.

The title track of their latest album also gives Cage their ninth chart-topper, joining the likes of “In One Ear,” “Trouble” and “Come a Little Closer.”

The 13-year outfit are in the midst of touring in support of Social Cues, with the next nearest stop in Chicago Dec. 11 at the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom. The show will be titled “The Night We Stole Christmas” and performed alongside Angels and Airwaves and The Federal Empire.
