Green Day and the National Hockey League announced via Twitter the band will release a new song, “Fire, Ready, Aim” from the upcoming Father of All… album, plus be “the sound of Wednesday Night Hockey.”
According to Billboard, the two entered into a two-year partnership, with the new song to be first featured before the New Jersey Devils-Philadelphia Flyers matchup Oct. 9.

The new track will then be a mainstay during NBCSN’s Wednesday Night Hockey plus NHL on NBC broadcasts during the 2019-2020 season.
The 2020 album’s lead single is currently number 10 on Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart. Green Day will headline the NHL All-Star Game in St. Louis Jan. 25, 2020.
