Jimmy Eat World Announce Tenth Album, Release Two Fresh Songs

Jimmy Eat World this morning announced their tenth studio album, Surviving, alongside two fresh songs amid a flurry of announcements via Twitter.

The lead single from the upcoming album (due Oct. 18), “All the Way (Stay),” was released with an accompanying music video, plus a new version of a previously released song, “Love Never.” The band will tour in support of the album beginning Oct. 17.

Frontman Jim Adkins described the album in a statement, saying the songs relate to difficult life decisions in the midst of self-hate.

“The crux of the decision is ‘Am I going to do something different or am I going to continue even though I hate who I am right now?'” Adkins said. “That’s the difference between surviving and truly living. That’s the point of the songs on SURVIVING.”

The band will visit The Rust Belt in East Moline, IL Nov. 8.
