It couldn’t have started more perfectly. It was a calm Friday morning until Billie Joe Armstrong tagged Rivers Cuomo and Pete Wentz on a video of Rainn Wilson drinking himself in a cup of coffee.
Then the internet did what it does best – lost it’s mind and uncovered hidden teasers leading to a possible “Hella Mega” tour featuring Green Day, Weezer and Fall Out Boy with details to come September 10.
The teasers first included the website hellamegatour.com, which currently is password-protected featuring a gif of Rainn Wilson as his Office character Dwight Schrute making the hushing motion.
Next, a video was uncovered featuring Armstrong wearing a shirt reading “F.O.B.” with the Weezer logo underneath, and a caption reading “Wake me up on September 10th.” It’s unknown how the video was discovered.
Finally, a fan on Twitter uploaded a photo of a card with Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer and the “Hella Mega” title.
