The Strokes have been dormant three years in music releases since 2016’s Future Present Past EP. However, according to a new interview featuring Artist Group International President Marsha Vlasic (their booking agent), that status may change.
“The Strokes are coming with new music, Vlasic said in an interview with Music Business Worldwide. “We had a heartbreak [June 2nd] in New York when they were headlining Governors Ball, the weather destroyed our show and we never played, but having them back on the live music scene is exciting.”
In May, a video was posted to YouTube showing The Strokes performing a new song, “The Adults are Talking.” Since then, the band has made various stops, most recently at the All Points East festival in London.
No other details have shared regarding a new release at this time.
