BENTON – The Franklin County Board was updated about the construction at the Campbell Building on the Benton Square at Monday night’s meeting.

Offices are currently under construction for the County Clerk, County Treasurer and Circuit Clerk, as well as courtrooms. Once the new courthouse is completed, the Circuit Clerk and the courts will move back with the County Clerk and County Treasurer to stay permanently in the Campbell Building.

Crocker added crews were set to pour concrete Tuesday on the deck of the first floor of the small addition to the building. An elevator will arrive on Dec. 11, with the roof to be added and finished after.
